The Bolsena Ricama association organizes for the year 2027 the 15th edition of the International Competition “Embroidery and Lace between Art and Tradition … the Peacock between Ancient mythology and Christian art”.

The Competition is open to all schools and/or associations whose primary purpose is the conservation and promotion of activities related to embroidery and lace.

Individuals, professionals, dilettantes and amateurs of the sector in general may also participate.

The peacock is a figure rich in symbolism, with meanings that go from vanity and worldly glory in ancient mythology to immortality and resurrection in Christian art.  

The Jury will meet in May or June 2027 in the offices of the Association or other place to be agreed with the Municipal Administration.

Below are the Call for entries and the identification card that you will need to send with your work. 

To participate please send 35 euro for each piece of artwork to IBAN IT69T0885173260000000070462 registered to Associazione Bolsena Ricama, reason Concorso Biennale 2027 ‘Il pavone’. 

The winners of the competition will be announced on this website and on our facebook group.
