The International Competition “Embroidery and Lace between Art and Tradition …. The Shell in the History of Art” is open to all schools and/or associations whose primary purpose is the conservation and promotion of activities related to embroidery and lace.
Individuals, professionals, dilettantes and amateurs of the sector in general may also participate.
The shell has always been an element linked to water and has been used in the figurative arts since the ancient age, first in the Roman funerary art and then in the Christian art, as a symbol of life and resurrection.
The Jury will meet in September in the offices of the Association or other place to be agreed with the Municipal Administration.
Below are the Call for entries and the identification card that you will need to send with your work.
The winners of the competition will be announced on this website and on our facebook group.
